Turmeric (Curcumin active ingredient) has been used in Indian cuisine and medicine for thousands of years it is now becoming synonymous with non-pharmacological pain and inflammation management, with many users reporting it can help with long term pain management. Our formulation contains black pepper extract which increases the bioavailability and the effectiveness by many magnitudes. Chronic inflammation is now known to be an enabler of many common Western diseases. Curcumin is proven to relieve chronic and acute inflammation.
Our Practitioner formulated turmeric capsules have proved to be one of our best-selling herbals and work perfectly in symbiosis with our CBD range of products. Turmeric (Curcuma longa) aids digestion, absorption and metabolism. It can lower harmful cholesterol and inhibits blood clotting by blocking prostaglandin production. As an herbal “anti-biotic” and anti-inflammatory it has outstanding results. In combination with Frankincense (Boswellia serrata) – which contains boswellic acid (a phytochemical) which reduces the activity of pain and inflammation, it can increase blood supply to the joints and strengthens blood vessels. Added to this the trikatu (an ayurvedic three pepper formula consisting of ginger, long pepper and black pepper) adds to its anti-inflammatory effect as well as enhancing bioavailability of the curcumin. It is often wise to take these capsules with some healthy fats such as a glass of milk to further enhance bioavailability and assimilation. These capsules are also good for the digestion, and soothe gut mucosa against the effects of stress, excess acids and other irritants.

Administration:
